This was by far the worst customer service that we have ever had. Definitely made the average food extremely sub part. All of the older staff seemed inconvenienced by our visit. We weren't offered refills or checked on once, even when we told the young guy that brought our food that we would be wanting another beer. We had to ask for our ticket and were treated poorly even then. This was the worst dining experience that we have ever had.

The burgers are excellent. However, never ever never order the Fish and Chips. It was a Friday night. I wanted cod and not perch, so I ordered what they call Fish and Chips. Big mistake. I have bought better frozen fish planks (think Gortons) from a grocery store. Grade school lunches of fish sticks had more actual fish than what I was served. It was awful. Go to Krolls for burgers if you must, but I'll avoid this place like the plague. The only things edible were the Coleslaw and roll. What a disappointment on a Friday night.

Avoid at all costs. I am sitting in here now and the service is awful. Screwed up order, forgot drink and I'm not the only one pissed off. Food is cheap but you get what you pay for!

It isn't super modern nor does the food get cooked very fast, though Krolls does have memorably great burgers, cheese curds, and chili. They really are all I adore about Wisconsin food, not the most healthy stuff ever but very tasty.

I absolutely love Kroll's! Can't say it's the healthiest place to eat, but the butter burgers are fantastic. They are always cooked perfectly. One odd thing is that mustard doesn't come on the burger, unless you ask for it. The onion rings are also unbelievable! You can tell they batter and fry the onion rings to order. And I can't forget about the chili. So good! My boyfriend and I stop by every time we come to Green Bay.

For surely a Green Bay classic! Never have had a bad experience (food or service) and I've been eating there for 25+ years. Only reason for a 4-star rating is it's a bit pricey. NOTE: This location is not affiliated with the West side location and should not ever be compared...Night and day difference.

No trip to Green Bay is complete without making a stop at Kroll's. This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is always delicious and the service is fast. I have very fond memories of coming here with my grandma growing up. She would always order the chicken dumpling soup and a hamburger. She would order and finish her entire meal before any of us grandkids even got there. That way she could talk to us the whole time throughout our meal. My favorite thing to order is the seaburger because it is the most delicious seaburger EVER.

Krolls east has been around longer than anyone can remember. It hasn't changed since it got perfect in the 50's (or possibly earlier, I'll have to ask my dad). You sit down in the dark bar and press the buzzer (once!) when you're ready to order. Order plenty of onion rings, maybe some fried cheese curds, cheeseburger, pizza burger, steak sandwich, or maybe a brat and some tappers. The waitress comes back with the onion rings and an assortment of indivually wrapped white paper burgers, each one identified by magic marker. You pay the waitress immediately in cash, and she makes change out of her fanny pack like an old-time conductor. unwrap your burger to find the most divine crusty bun all shined up with the best wisconsin butter. The onion rings are very crunchy and perfectly cooked so the onion never pulls out of the crust. If you're in town for the packer game you're in the wrong place - you want Kroll's West.

Must be family members that are rating this restaurant. Ordered the two piece broasted chicken from the small plate menu...small plate needs to be changed to tiny, itsy, bitsy piece of chicken. I didn't know a wing could be that small! When I asked the waiter to find something a bit more substantial he said that was it. Try another restaurant when in Green Bay.

My husband and I are from California.......... this place is a MUST every time we are in Green Bay to visit family! It hasn't changed much over the years, and that's what I love the most... I can imagine my dad in high school with his buddies sitting in a booth eating the same burgers I eat today. He has some great butter burger stories from here :) Everything ON. The shakes are to die for....... especially the blueberry.

Our family makes a pilgrimage from Indiana to Green Bay for Packer training just about every year, and we are always on the hunt for great local food (we despise chain restaraunts). Once again - Yelp users came through! We went to Kroll's for dinner based on Yelp reviews, and suffice it to say that Kroll's will be a permanent part of our training camp agenda. Walking in there is like stepping through a time warp - pretty sure that nothing has changed inside the building since the mid 1950's, and if I were them, I would not change anything either! The food is amazing, if you like burgers, fries, shakes and onion rings. I know that some chains advertise "Wisconsin Butter Burgers" on their menu's, but let me tell you, Kroll's burgers are the real thing. Big, juicy beef patties that actually come with a big pat of putter on it. Probably bad for the heart, but certainly good for the soul! One warning: BRING CASH! Really enjoyed the food, service was good, atmosphere is wonderful. Cannot wait until next year's trip - I can taste the burgers already!

One of my favorite burgers anywhere. A step back in time. Love it.

Kroll's East and West are Green Bay Classics. Kroll's East is in its same dingy location, where in the summer you need a fly swatter but don't let that scare you. The food is great and cheaper than Kroll's west. It's iconic buzzers to get service are cool. The burgers are great, if you don't like the butter dripping from them then you can go back to wherever you came from because you're probably not a wisconsinite and don't know what your talking about.

$10.10 cents for 1 small cheese burger, small cheese curds, and a drink. The cheese burgers are ok, but more along the lines of a White Castle slider. They meat is somewhat smoky good, but has a hint of smokey old. The people who work there seem like you are bothering them by spending over $20 for 2 people to have a hamburger lunch. I think they have rested in their laurels for too long. The dumpling soup has great dumplings, but the stock has a weak off taste to it.

I've always wondered if I am related to the Krolls of Kroll's East (& West)... I had to stop in just because of the good name! ;) The service was friendly, and the food was awesome! There is a little bit of a funky, musty smell about the place, but I think it adds to the classic charm. :)

The only good thing about this place is the warm atmosphere. Particularly the furnishings and the well meaning staff. The beer list is completely abysmal, with no interesting beers and only one New Glarus product... really? It's especially sucky when all the food is so GREASY. That kind of food is only good when you've got a beer in your hand. The fried cauliflower was good (although the breading was overfried) but the small order was truly small with only 8 or so tiny buds. I wish I'd tried their acclaimed chili because their burger was awful. The meat somehow tasted fake and spongey. The bun was thin and McDonalds-esque, and I've honestly never had that much pure butter drip from my burger. There was an actual puddle on my burger paper. Did I mention they don't give you plates? Worst of all: YOU HAVE TO PAY IN ADVANCED. This made me livid. I almost regret leaving a tip without even knowing the kind of service I was going to get (but I know it's not their fault). I was going to order more and decided that it wasn't going to happen. There's just no way I want to pay for everything as it comes out. I'm never going back, that's for sure. With that lame alcohol list, there's nothing but the atmosphere to recommend it.

So I grew up visiting Green Bay. My mother grew up there and my whole family lives there. Every time we visit, we HAVE to go to Kroll's. Its almost like a tradition. The prices are low and the food is pretty good. Something I have only found up north is the butter on the burger. Its so yummy. I love the toasted buns and the butter! The burgers are not huge but filling enough. My dad, uncle, and cousin always get the perch plate. We don't get perch in Florida, so its nice when we go up there to have it. It is nice and crispy and hot at Kroll's. The best thing here is cheese curds! I think it may be something Wisconsin does best because I have never found them anywhere else. Kroll's are cooked perfectly every time. This is not a fancy pants restaurant, its a good and homey and local restaurant. Sundays are filled with Packer fans watching and supporting the home team. Something we use to fight over as kids, was pushing the button. After eating yourself and getting your menus, you push the button when you are ready to order. If you need anything at all, you just push the button and your waitress comes right over. Yes when your food comes out, you pay, but lets be honest, it is actually a blessing. Once you are done, you can leave. You don't have to sit around and wait for your waitress. And just because you paid, doesn't mean they wont help you, just push the button! After reading other reviews, it seems like the people that don't like this place, were looking for gourmet burgers. This is not that place. Its about family, they have big booths and local people enjoying food. I would always recommend this place. The other Kroll's, by the stadium, was also featured on Travel Channel, with Adam Richman, man versus food. This place has been around for years, so they must be doing something right!

Every local will say that Krolls has the best burgers around, and well its because its been known in green bay for so long. Food is always hot, always consistent, and is very good. The old atmosphere really makes you feel as if your in an old diner which was always very cool to me as a kid. But now its getting to the point its way to old fashioned and needs some remodeling IMO. The fact that they make you pay the same time as receiving your food is the absolute worse idea anyone has ever came up with and they really need to change that. Service is about a 5-6/10. But the food is so good I go back all the time!

I wish we would have picked anywhere else to eat but Kroll's East. Upon entering the establishment we noticed that there was food all over the floor. The bartender was polite. The tables were a mess and hadn't been cleared, and the place was almost empty. My wife, myself, and our 3-year-old sat at a table while the other table dropped F-bombs. I had eaten here twice before, both times were horrible. I was told that the chili was " award winning", so that is what I ordered. My wife ordered a p rime rib sandwich and my son got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The waitress stated that she would take our order back to the kitchen after it was aid for... What? So I paid, and we waited. When our food arrived my son took a bite of his pb and j and instant gag reflex. My wife tried a bite and it tasted "tinny" with a horrid aftertaste. I let the server know and she said would let the kitchen know, would you son like something else? I said I think he would like the mac and cheese. During this time we experienced chili that was way too salty to eat ( the worst I have ever tried, and a prime rib sandwich that consisted of greasy fat chunks and grissle. The waitress returned with deep fried mac and cheese nuggets (not mac and cheese as ordered) and charged us again before setting it at the table. I let the waitress know about the extremely salty chili, she took the bowl and we didn't see her again. So disgusted by the quality of the environment, the service, and the food. We stood up and walked out without taking another bite. No wonder they make you pay first. We wete charged for three meals that we couldn't even eat and we will never go back to Krolls East. I hope they enjoyed my money, because they won' t see any more of it after tonights horrible food and lack of service.

Probably the worst restaurant in town, Both Krolls restaurants are highly over rated and should be avoided. The first thing wrong with Krolls is the service , they drop a menu and walk away , to get your waitress back you push a button and they come back eventually, they take your order and you don't see them until your food is ready , they don't check up on refills or anything like that. When your food arrives they demand payment , your table is full of plates and food and they expect you to rummage for your money when you should be enjoying your food( although the food isn't really enjoyable). Which brings be to the second problem, the food, I have honestly had better food from a school lunch room. The food isn't fresh, it's bland, it's all from cans or frozen and it just leaves you feeling kind of gross. The last time I was there I ordered a bacon cheese burger, the bun was so crusty that it crumbled when I ate it and it was like a mouth full of sand mixed with my burger, the bacon was the consistency of old beef jerky. If you visit Green Bay, please check out other local places, down town has some good places and if you are near the stadium there are other far better choices than Krolls, don't give them your business!

Krolls has been around for a long time, they have the best burgers and fish sandwich, not to mention their chili, it is the best chili anywhere hands down. Their prices are great, the beer is always cold and they always have the games on. Don't confuse them with the Krolls on the Westside, no comparison between the two, they taste totally different. Anyway, Krolls East is a great place to get a burger and a bowl of chili, or on Friday maybe get some perch or chicken. The people that work there are friendly and it's a great place to take the kids.

Kroll's East in Green Bay, Wisconsin is like Arthur Bryant's is to Kansas City or Skyline Chili is to Cincinnati. It's an experience, and it's one that shouldn't be missed. I don't get to Green Bay often but when I do, a visit to Kroll's for their famous chili and cheeseburger is a religious experience for this foodie. No, it's not high dining, but it's a predictable kind of step back into the past--1935 to be exact--and the kind of place soldiers getting ready to deploy to the middle east ask to dine at as their last meal before they leave home. It's a diner, a dive, the kind of place regular folks crave. The chili is likely laced with cocoa, bits of cinnamon, allspice and certainly plenty of garlic. Get it with the noodles. It's a can't miss bowl and it comes with a big spoon, as if we all know that long noodles are to be cut into bite sizes with one. The hamburger comes cut in half and wrapped in paper. The bun is more like a piece of sturdy bread, apparently made by the restaurant. It'll be dripping with juice and melts in your mouth. Honestly, it doesn't look like a lot to eat, but that bowl of chili and cheeseburger will have you begging for a place to nap in a few hours. Get their famous malt and you have a lunch that'll have you skipping dinner. I can't imagine a world without places like Kroll's. I'd like to think they'll be around in another 75 years from now and if so, the world will be a better place for it.

I've never been to Green Bay prior to this weekend. So I asked around and four people told me to eat at Kroll's for a butter burger. Why? What do people see in this? If you like your burger pressed and boiled until there's nothing left, maybe that's your definition of good. The pat of butter added to the top of the burger added nothing (most of it just ran off into my hands). The bun was dry and wrong in all the wrong places. The waitress lacked knowledge and enthusiasm. She couldn't even tell me about the most basic items on the menu. On a positive note, the fries were good.

I really like the chili, burgers are overpriced. Service is god awful, and seriously, pay when they bring your food to you?! I struggle with how to tip someone that simply brings my lunch. I might as well grab it myself. The last time there with my gal, we had 2 burgers 2 chili, a salad and 2 cokes. It was $30, i felt violated! That was probably the last time i'll go there, many good burger joints in town, this might have been one in 1950, it isnt now. Maybe it was actually the 1940's, maybe i'll go back and take pieces of the tables and ceiling and have them carbon dated, nothing inside or out has been updated in many years.

My favorite diner of all time. No other place like it. I worked here in high school and so I know how much work goes into the food preparation. Hand-dipped onion rings, butter burgers with the perfect buns and sharp cheddar cheese, malts with real ice cream, cheese curds with perfect ranch, best vegetable beef soup and my favorite chili. It's my first and last stop when I come to visit. Ah! I want it right now!

We decided to have lunch here today. Being that we were out of towners, we weren't quite sure of the menu or anything. It was busy, so one of the waitresses helped us to find a booth. We ordered drinks and that's when the fun started. 2 minutes after our drinks arrived we were approached by another waitress asking if we were ready. With so many things on the menu, we really weren't, but we were informed that there was a huge party for lunch and if we didn't order that it would be a while. So we hastily ordered the cheese curds to start, the double cheeseburger for me, cheesesteak for my sister and single cheeseburger for my wife. Our food arrived very quickly. That was impressive. The waiter that brought our food out brought the check with it, which was odd. What was even more odd is that instead of leaving the check, he asked for payment right then and there. I have never, ever seen that in a sit down restaurant. The food was okay. I can see why people like the burgers, except mine was chewy in places as well as my sister's cheesesteak. Cheese curds were breaded. I could've gotten better at Culvers in Arizona, honestly. Fries were nothing to write home about. My double cheeseburger said it was 1/3rd of a pound. I guess their scale is broken. Seemed like 2 thin patties. It was okay..... Just OK. Remember we had already paid when we got our food? I guess that means nobody comes by to ask you if you would like a refill of the soft drink that you paid $2 for or if you wanted dessert. We would have loved to have tried the caramel cake, but nobody asked. I guess that's how they do it here.... Sit down, rush your order, get your money and then wait for you to get out. We left a tip because we always felt that we should, but we should have left way less than we did. We always have a list of restaurants we frequent when we come to Green Bay. This will not make the list.

I haven't been here for over 10 years and was drooling over the idea of that long remembered butter burger and strawberry shake. The food lacked flavor on all counts, and I'm still in disbelief. Is this how the food always tasted, or is this place morphing into a low quality food joint? My hamburger patty was a perfect squared piece of meat with smooth sides as if it was taken out of a frozen box and cooked. My shake had real strawberries but was in a sugarless, flavorless cream. Where's that Kroll's East charm and culinary touch? The place is a dying art with absolutely no kazam. I should mention the tortilla chips and cheese. The chips literally came out of a bag like we buy at the grocery store with no added touch of salt and lime. The cheese radiated orange dye and was that thick maltodextrin-ridden slop that comes out of a tin can with no additional spices. Kroll's East has certainly lost its fame with me, and I will not be returning.

The original burger joint and greasy spoon. Good old Americana cuisine. Food is simple and tasty. Perfect when you are hungry for something deep fried.

I ate here last week based on Yelp reviews. I ordered a bowl of pea soup (the soup-of-the-day,) fries, a cheeseburger, and a soda. My total was somewhere in the $12 range before the tip. Not bad considering how much I ordered. I'll talk about the food in a moment, but first I'd like to address the biggest problem this place had upon my initial visit: the mixed service. The age of the server directly correlated to how polite or rude they were. The older the server, the ruder they were. I was baffled - isn't it supposed to be the other way around? I was served by two older people, maybe in their 40's and 50's, both a male and a female, and they just walked away twice without saying anything polite. It was... awkward. Me: "Hi. I'll have the cheeseburger... and a side of fries. Oh and a soda, too, please." Server: "......." *walks away without even making eye contact* While I was waiting for my food, I noticed a young woman taking care of a to-go order next to me, and she was the picture of politeness with her customers. Another young woman brought my food to me, and was very polite as well. I'd also like to point out that one person came to take my order - but I wasn't ready yet - then another person ended up taking my order, and a third person brought me my food and gave me my check. Who am I tipping here? Last big gripe - they bring the check out WITH your food and hover over you until you pay. But I'm not paying until I've tasted the food and seen whether or not I'll get a refill on my soda (w/o having to ask for it) so I can figure out the tip. I told her I'd like to pay later and she walked away, but it was still a bit odd. The food was... okay. If you're looking for that dive-bar experience, you might rate it a 5/5 because it definitely has that niche quality to it. But the bun on the burger was covered in grease (or sweat?) and had to be patted down before I ate it. This might not bother some people, but I can't handle greasy foods like most can. The burger itself was gone in about 7 or 8 bites. It was really good, and bigger than a McDouble at McDonald's, but it wasn't very big. I had a lot of other food to eat so I'm not complaining, but next time I might skip the soup and just get a double burger. The soup was 'meh.' It was pea soup, and how good can pea soup be, anyway? I thought I liked pea soup more than that, but I guess not. It was probably amazing as far as pea soup goes, but it's just not for me anymore. So minus points for hit-or-miss service, plus points for decent food (when you're in the mood for that kind of food). Impartial points for the fact that the building is a historical landmark built in 1935, because it really doesn't flaunt it. You wouldn't know unless you read the plaque or a review that pointed it out. If you want an affordable "hometown" meal and your stomach can take a little grease, go here. But there are other places out there with similar experiences. I enjoyed the Blackstone East Restaurant nearby slightly more than this place, though the ambiance (it's darker inside Kroll's) and the fact that Kroll's is also a bar might change your vote. Happy eats.

When we went there on our own, it was good. When we took our boys (who are black) along, we were told it's the new policy to pay for your meal upfront. No such policy. Nuff said.

Wasn't over the top thrilled. I ate here with my family. Didn't seem like the waitress cared at all. I also didn't like the dark dungeon feeling of the restaurant. The food was mediocre my first time eating a brat and burger combo thingy and I have to say it wasn't special at all.

Hey Fatty listen up: this is where you want to be. As a die hard Chicago Bears fan there are two reasons to go to Greenbay: 1) To watch the Bears kick the Packers asses on their own frozen tundra, 2) Kroll's East. Kroll's East (apparently there is a West too, but I've been told to avoid it by real Wisconsinites) is BUTTERBURGERS. Those burgers you get a Culver's - eh eh, no way, no how. The restaurant more closely resembles a cave than an eatery but that doesn't diminish the visit (just have your sunglasses on when you leave). You seat yourself and when you are ready to order you ring the doorbell at your table. Ring it once or you'll get surly service and rightfully so. The waitress will come over immediately and take your orders, do yourself a favor and get the burger. When the food comes to your table not more than 5 minutes later, it comes without frills like plates or silverware. The burgers are wrapped in paper and cut in half. When you open your burger and pick up one half you'll notice a stream of butter begin to ooze out the middle (if this sounds gross to you, go to a farm stand "you can swing a dead cat around and you're bound to hit" some delicious sweet corn). A burger with everything is Ketchup, onions, pickles, and butter. My sister asked if she could get lettuce and mayo on hers and the waitress said "You can but it ain't a Kroll's burger". Get it how your supposed to. Basically these burgers are SO good, I bought a t-shirt.

This is a must visit each time I'm in Green Bay. I recently brought a group of 49ers fans there and they were so impressed that we ended up there two nights in a row. Chili is amazing. Cheese curds are great and come yellow and white. Shakes are good. Onion rings rule. ****Burgers are to die for!**** The only thing you need to know is have cash before you come because you pay up front. Also, be prepared to have the awesome taste of Krolls in your soul for a good 48 hours. Kroll's West is by Lambeau Field and it has less history and ambiance. Krolls East feels like it is from the 50s and most people say the food is better.

My boyfriend and I and friends would always come to Krolls East while we lived in Green Bay...MUCH better than Krolls West! It's the original!! Excellent burgers, awesome atmosphere...very family oriented and cozy. Good price, about $3-4 for a burger! They grill them with a pad of butter (yummmm) so don't come here expecting to eat too healthy. Cheese curds are the bomb. Come here, it is one of Green Bay's treasures.

buttery burgers, yay! extra charge for tomatos and lettuce, really? i guess its a green bay thing. or a kroll's thing. whatever. my sister and i shared a cheese burger, onion rings, cheese curds and a espresso milkshake. HOMEMADE onion rings! they were ginormous and not overly greasy, cheese curds, eh, they were small. Milkshake? DELICIOUS!!!! i wish i got my own, but recalling how full i was after, i guess it was good that we shared. i now want to go find a place that serves espresso milkshakes, yum. good service, you pay once your food arrives to the table. apparently their chili is a fav, but its saltyyyyy. pass. go get some milkshakes if you're in the Green bay area!!

The food was amazing, but like others have mentioned, it will kill. The burgers are great, the shakes are great. And that dumpling soup is otherworldly. Kroll's East is hands down better than Kroll's West. West's food just doesn't taste as good (their decor is more interesting). The only thing that I didn't like was that the waitress was a little rude when demanding I pay when she brought out the food. Now, I don't mind paying for the food before it comes, but I don't like to do it when you just placed nice warm food in front of me. I'd prefer to have paid before hand, then I don't need to be fumbling around with my wallet, moving things around to sign the receipt. And they could have asked nicely and politely. It's not like it was busy, there was only one other table.

When I was in high school, my buddies and I ate lunch here a couple times a month. The burgers were great and their shakes were tasty--the cherry shake even had real cherries. Plus they gave you a lot of shake for your money. These burgers are not easy to forget and rate as some of the best I've ever had. On a recent trip back, I stopped in with my family. I don't think the place changed at all in 25 years. Both the food and service were just as I remembered. For a town that's lost a lot of its local color in years I've been away, this place was a great hallmark to the town I grew up in. I was glad to be able to show my own kids a little of what dad did when he was growing up.

Before I moved to the Green Bay area, this was a must go to place every time that my family and I came up here to visit family. The food is excellent, although I would not recommend eating it everyday. This place is known for its awesome chili which you can order in many different ways, and there butter burgers. Kroll's East has been around for a long time and still looks that way inside. With booths that have coat hooks on the end. There is also a west side location right across the street from Lambeau Field, although i think the east location is better.

While visiting Green Bay to do a lecture the students from the UWGB took me to Kroll's. Even being from the south I don't think I've ever eaten this much fried food-I still feel like I should just go to the doctor and make sure I've only removed one or two years from my life. Having said that-the burger was awesome-I can't say I've ever had a burger with butter on it before-it was a novel experience as was the deep fried cauliflower. Everyone said I had to try the fried cheese curds-they were good, but honestly the cauliflower wins out if for no other reason than weirdness alone. If you're there-you gotta try it-plus the they have buttons on the wall to summon the ultra ultra polite wait staff. Do it!

The food was not bad, but based on other reviews, I was expecting better. I would recommend the burgers without cheese as the cheese overpowers the butter flavor. If you like soup, try the chicken dumpling soup--the dumplings were amazing.

This place is quintessential Green Bay! If you come to Green Bay the two most important places to visit are Lambeau Field and Krolls (east or west). Prices are reasonable and the food is always predictably delicious. The Krolls butter burger is awesome but I usually get the Seaburger with cheese. Its the best seaburger in the world! One noteable thing: you will always be asked to pay when they bring the food to your table. Some think this is a pain but I like it because when you're done with your meal you can just get up and go, without the typical waiting for your bill. The decor is 1950's. The booths even have little doorbell buttons you can push if you need a waiter. Krolls is top notch in my book!!

Krolls has been around forever and then some. This location is my favorite and I love thier burgers - which are widely considered to be the best in town. They are greasy and the dining area smells like nasty cigarette smoke but you have to look past that and realize you are participating in history for crying out loud.

Green Bay classic. Nothing fancy...what you see is what you get. Press a button to call the server. Excellent burgers with seriously a couple of pats of butter on top of the burger....by the time it gets to your table, it is just starting to melt. They also have excellent chili. Very unassuming and an addictive taste.

Average greasy bar food. Locals will say it's a must stop but it really isn't. Nothing is made fresh and service was subpar. Reminds me of eating at a county fair stand. If you want a real burger, go to Al's Hamburgers on Washington--It has the 50's diner feel and much better food.

This was everything I was looking for. A 70 year old oasis of delicious gastronomic delights all with the famous WIS twist. Once you pour that Leinie's Red into what is THE proper beer glass (NOT a pint glass) and pop that first curd, you realize a nirvana for your taste buds has been found. Our bartender, the wizard, was our guide, and with map in hand, walked us thru all that can be experienced as we traveled thru the Oz of Yum.

The original wisconsin butter burgers and chili. amazing chili. another reviewer said they might use cinnamon, and i tend to agree. i have been to kroll's west but i dont remember it much. go east young yelpers~! anytime im on green aby this is the only place i want to eat. i do want to thank one james kuch for taking me here years ago. also, for those that complained about the service, FYI, press the call button on the wall to bring your server and stop blaming them.

Two cheeseburgers w'everything, cup of chilli (no spaghetti--cuz it's chilli, stupid). Dip the c-burg in chilli. Done. Not big phat burgers--flat patties but immense flavor. Old, old school beautiful must see restaurant and bar.

Kroll's was amazing with a beautiful Lambeau location! They are serving up tasty Brats and delicious cheese curds! A must if you're not a Wisconsin native but looking for authentic Wisconsin food!
